20th Anniversary of Black & Blue

The 20th Annual Black & Blue occurred during the Canadian Thanksgiving as usual this year. The event was a weeklong celebration of art, culture, sports, music and dance - culminating in the 10,000 person dance event on Sunday evening that spanned 15 hours and over 10 DJs. As always, Black & Blue set the bar for a stellar and incredibly produced event.
At the President’s Cocktail Reception on Friday night held at the MX Gallery, noiZe Magazine was honored (quite to our surprise) along with a dozen other individuals and organizations for our support of BBCM over the years. Robert Vezina, president of the BBCM (Bad Boys Club Montreal), presented framed certificates to those that have helped make Black & Blue a success and raise over $1.5 Million dollars in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
As the Premier Travel Guide to Dance, Festival and Circuit Events Worldwide, noiZe is proud to have been recognized as the leader in assisting non-profits be successful and evolve from the days of the circuit and disco music into the contemporary and trend-setting organizations of the 21st century. The international press recognized noiZe as providing the primary exposure outside of Canada for BBCM, and across the globe for every event that desires a global audience.
noiZe was humbled by the award, and realizes that although it does take a team to make large-scale music and dance events a success, it can only be accomplished with the vision and focus of such organizations as BBCM, and individuals such as it’s president, Robert Vezina. Thanks to our friends who were able to join us, especially Steven Pevner of the Black Party, and Kat Coric - longtime friend of noiZe’s founders. noiZe will continue to be the exclusive media Grand Sponsor of Black & Blue for years to come.
