For Lack Of A Better Name
Deadmau5
The man who performs with an enormous mouse head helmet behind DJ decks releases another set of trance and progressive to blow your socks off. Following “Random Album Title,” what else would make sense to call your sophomore release other than “For Lack Of A Better Name?” Clearly Joel Zimmerman isn’t gimmicking with cute titles and intentions, he just wants you to listen to his music for what it is. The majority of the album is instrumental, but between the cheeky track names, intense production and David Morales-style variation in atmospheres, anything this man puts out is the perfect combination of banging and thought provoking. The disc’s first single “Ghosts ‘n Stuff” is amazing and the final tracks “The 16th Hour” and “Strobe” are reasons enough by themselves to buy the album.
