Genesis Vol. 1

Tracy Young Genesis Vol. 1
The First Lady of the Circuit brings it back again with a new sound and a new compilation series. From the sound of things, Tracy’s butched it up in the way of peppering the mix with a lot of the dark and dirty tracks, a.k.a. the totally interchangeable tribal tracks with deep voices saying weird things. In fact, the first half of the disc is all dark jungle, save for vocal piercings from Ceevox (“What’s Done Is Done”) and Celeda (“Good Time”). But the second half sees the return of the accessible side of Tracy, combining lead beats with powerful vocals and singalong hooks like “Shine” by Yinon Yahel and Jesse LaBelle, “Reach” by Lil’ Mo Yin Yang, “Open Your Heart” by Axwell & Dirty South feat. Rudy, and the now classic “Alright” by Red Carpet. Genesis Vol.1 offers a combination nu-skool/old-skool sound, mixing the modern Circuit sound of mostly vocal-less production with the classic smiling atmosphere of uplifting vocal tracks. Something here for everyone.
