Natasha Bedingfield vs. Chicane
This little gem began as a white label mashup, putting the a cappella of Natasha’s “I Bruise Easily” atop Chicane’s classic instrumental track “Saltwater,” and was in circulation as such until someone apparently realized how massive this could be if given some commercial attention, and a few months later emerged as a full single featuring remixes by Mischa Daniels, Adam K and Chicane himself. The remixes are all totally solid, but the bootleg is the best, because—and correct me if I’m wrong—when you remix the mashup, doesn’t it just become a mix of “I Bruise Easily”? Anyway, hunt for this one, it’s angsty pop dance gold.
