Outsiders

Disco will never die, and this one’s even got an interesting story to go with it. Originally penned by Robyn, this song was a U.K. Top 20 hit for Beverly Knight in 2005. The song has now been redone as a nu-disco dance version with vocals by longtime Freemasons collaborator Amanda Wilson, and includes remixes by The Freemasons. The result is incredible. The songwriting itself is an uplifting “I’ll be by your side” anthem, and actually sounds like a companion track to Robyn’s recent release “Dream On.” The other mixes by Wawa, Christian Fischer, Jean Maxwell and Topaz, are all solid as is, but it’s the piano/bass pounding of the Freemasons mix that takes this to the level of addictive. Guaranteed: After one listen, you’ll be hooked.
